I’m really glad you’re here.

A little bit about me: I’ve lived my whole life in the Pacific Northwest, and it shows. I love the moody weather and wild landscape, and I try to soak up the outdoors during the few precious weeks of sunshine we get each year. I spend my time hiking, gardening, and keeping bees, making art when I can, and spending time with my dog, Fry.

I hold degrees in both Public Health and Communications, which together have shaped how I see the world and how I share it. That path gave me the tools to explore the intersection of people, systems, and stories, and the role storytelling plays in justice, health, and change.

My professional background is rooted in mission-driven communications, with years of experience crafting stories across the nonprofit world. Much of that work has focused on advocacy, community care, and amplifying voices that deserve more space.

Despite the years I spent building toward this goal, something still felt unfinished. I wasn’t finding the fulfillment or creative freedom I needed. As daunting as it was, and still is, I realized I needed a passion project.

After years of testing ideas, experimenting with content, and refining my voice, I finally uncovered the message that felt right. That message is Flora Studios.

I see now that Flora Studios was always on its way. It brings together everything I’ve studied, practiced, and believed in. This is a space where storytelling becomes an act of care and connection, uplifting the voices of women and the environment. Two forces that are often vulnerable, often undervalued, and deeply intertwined.

The name Flora came to me slowly, but in truth, it had always been waiting. It’s a word rooted in natural growth. It’s long been associated with women. And most importantly, it was the name of my grandmother, a woman whose strength and softness helped shape who I am.

Choosing this name felt like a turning point. After so much searching, I realized the answer had been with me all along. Flora met every goal I had for this brand, and more. In naming it this way, it feels as though I am calling on the women who came before me, asking them to stand with me as I work to build something that honors the global sisterhood and the living world we share.

My goal for Flora Studios is to create a space where voices are honored and storytelling becomes a form of connection and community. I hope to uplift the women creating change, while also holding space for those facing hardship, crisis, or silence. This vision is carried forward alongside environmental justice, community resilience, and the quiet power of everyday restoration, because these values are never separate, and their connection gives purpose to the stories we share.
